Ronda Guyton, founder of the Living to Serve Foundation, combines extensive law enforcement experience with a deep commitment to women's health and community support. With 28 years with Peoria County Sheriff’s Office, she retired as the Undersheriff the first woman to hold that title in history of the office. and prior service as a specialist in the United States Army Reserve from 1991-1999, Ronda brings a strong leadership background to her role. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from the University of Illinois at Springfield along with a certificate in non-profit management from the University of Illinois Chicago.
Motivated by her personal battle with breast cancer, Ronda established the foundation in 2012, which has since provided mammograms to over 500 women and fostered partnerships with area hospitals. Her vision ensures that no woman faces health challenges alone, focusing on education, empowerment, and accessibility of care. Ronda's commitment to health equity is deeply intertwined with her belief in community support as a transformative force in healthcare.
Ronda’s dedication to community and health extends to her board role with the University of Illinois at Springfield Campus Alumni Advisory Board, and she is recognized for her contributions with awards such as the 25 Women in Leadership in 2012 and the Susan G. Komen Volunteer Award in 2013.
Ronda and her husband, Graylin, reside in Peoria and have four sons, demonstrating a family commitment to service and leadership in both their professional and personal lives.
